What deletion removes
- Your login — the Firebase Authentication account (email/phone/Google sign-in) is deleted; you can no longer sign in.
- Your profile — name, username, photos, bio, phone number, roles, settings, and job seeker profile.
- Your listings — every listing you posted, in all categories, with their photos.
- Your files — profile photos, listing images, CV/resume, verification documents, and payment receipts in storage.
- Your activity — favorites, saved searches, job applications, reviews you received links, notifications, and payment/verification records.
The one exception: shared chats
Messages you sent in conversations with other users are anonymized, not erased — your name and account link are removed, but the other person's copy of the conversation survives. Deleting it outright would destroy someone else's records of their own conversations (including, for example, agreements they made with you). This mirrors how messaging platforms generally handle deletion and is documented in our Privacy Policy.
How the process works
- Verify it's you — sign in below with your real AYE Market account. Signing in is the identity verification: only the account owner can produce valid credentials.
- Submit the request — one tap after confirming you understand deletion is permanent.
- Human review — our team reviews the request (this protects you if someone else briefly gained access to your device). We may contact you if anything looks unusual.
- Deletion executes — on approval, a server-side process deletes your authentication account, database records, and stored files in a logged, auditable cascade. This is typically completed within 7 days of your request.
Before you go — optional
If you want a copy of your data first, submit a data export request before requesting deletion. Once deletion completes, there is nothing left to export.
